Thanks Gods America is a migration story through the lands that have come to be called the Americas,
Through the forgotten unnamed places that are truly American, from the fruit fields of Florida, up the Atlantic seaboard, inland through the coal mines of Appalachia, to a trailer park in Maine, and deep into the Oaxacan mountains....
What are the threads, glues, and gravities that bind the flora, fauna, and humans to this land, and to each other?
Adam Fisher is Pescatore, the vocal protagonist.
His journey culminates in the bellybutton of the world,
Baltimore, MD. where he is joined by:
producer, Walker Teret (C. McCombs, Scarlett Johansson, etc.),
Chris Freeland (Oxes, Frenemies),
Mike Kuhl (M. Kuhl trio, Drums of Life),
and the Swedish sojourner Hanna Olivegren (Zomes).
Together, with their comrades, they retire to the hills of Woodstock, MD to record their unique yet common journeys.
The result is an album, deserving of an attentive listen, which spins a tale of pain, conflict,.... beasts, demons, and pleasure,... acceptance, carelessness, longing, persistence,..... turmoil, wonder, and love.
It's uncertain where we're headed but...
